Wayne Martinsen, MD, MSW - Psychiatrist, Fargo & Minot, Medical Director
Dr. Martinsen diagnoses psychiatric and behavioral health conditions, makes treatment recommendations, and provides medication management for clients of all ages. He is also the Clinical Clerkship Director for the University of North Dakota Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science. Dr. Martinsen received his doctorate degree from the University of North Dakota.
Meryl Willert, Ph.D. - Clinical Psychologist, Fargo
Dr. Willert specializes in psychological testing and treatment for ADHD, mood and anxiety disorders, autism, and personality issues. He incorporates a variety of techniques into therapy, including art, music, play, and CBT. Dr. Willert completed his doctoral training at the University of North Dakota and at Spokane Mental Health.
Alyssa Weber, Psy.D. - Clinical Psychologist, Minot
Dr. Weber provides psychological assessment and therapy services to clients of all ages who have a variety of emotional, behavioral, and social needs. She specializes in assessing mood disorders, ADHD, personality disorders, and learning disorders. Dr. Weber received her Master’s degree at the University of North Dakota, followed by her doctoral education and psychological training at the University of Denver.
Megan Spencer, Psy.D. - Clinical Psychologist, Fargo
Dr. Spencer provides diagnostic and psychological evaluations and CBT. She is passionate about working with individuals and their families and values the therapeutic relationship. Dr. Spencer received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology and completed her residency at the University of Minnesota.
Tammy Uleberg, FNP-C - Nurse Practitioner, Minot
Tammy provides outpatient diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions, as well as medication management to clients of all ages. She earned her Family Nurse Practitioner Certification from Clarkson College and her Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Master’s degree from the University of North Dakota.
Christy Wilkie, LCSW - Therapist, Fargo
Christy provides outpatient therapy for children and adolescents, ages 5-25. Christy typically uses a CBT approach, but also provides collaborative problem solving and several other types of therapy. She earned her master’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University-Purdue University.
Vanessa E. Lien, DNP, APRN, NP-C - Nurse Practitioner, Fargo
Vanessa provides outpatient diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions, as well as medication management to clients of all ages. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from North Dakota State University. Vanessa learns about each client's needs and wants and helps them meet their goals.
Lucas Mitzel, LMSW - Therapist, Fargo
Lucas provides outpatient therapy for children, adolescents, and adults ages 5-30. He typically practices CBT but also implements other forms of therapy with clients. Lucas earned his master’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Dakota. He believes building relationships with clients is the most important piece of successful therapy.
Allyson Rust, LPCC - Therapist, Fargo
Allyson Rust provides outpatient therapy for children, adolescents and young adults. CBT is her most frequently used modality, but she provides other types of therapy as well such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Animal Assisted Therapy with therapy dog Bailey. Ally believes relationship and connection are the source of healing and growth and she brings those into the therapy she provides. She earned her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Dakota State University.
Darlene Fournier - Registered Nurse, Minot
Darlene facilitates behavioral health care for clients by providing assessments and monitoring behavioral health conditions for clients of all ages. She completed her LPN Associate Degree at North Dakota State College of Science, and her RN Associate Degree at Williston State College. Darlene earned her Certification of Gerontological Nursing through American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Carissa Cullum - Psychometrist, Minot
Carissa works closely with Dr. Weber to administer and score psychological tests for outpatient clients. Carissa transitioned to psychometry from a career in higher education and student services and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Counseling.
Jill Werda - Psychometrist, Fargo
Jill works closely with the DFS clinical team to complete psychological assessments for children and adolescents. Jill completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Western Michigan University in Michigan, and a post-graduate program in Career Development Facilitator Global Certification at Oakland University.
Christina Hemmer, LPCC, ND Certified Clinical Supervisor
As the VP of Clinical Services, Christina ensures that Dakota Family Services provides best-in-class care to clients. She has extensive experience working with adolescents and families; specializing in providing care for trauma, autism, behavioral issues, suicide, self-harm, and personality issues. Christina uses a CBT approach, augmented with sensory interventions. As a clinical supervisor, Christina provides approved supervision hours for North Dakota counselors working towards their LPC/LPCC advancement.
